The Tasmanian Devil is the world's largest surviving carnivorous Marsupial. The jaws of a Tasmanian Devil can exert an incredible crushing pressure of more than 1200 pounds per square inch, only the Great White Shark and the Hyena have a stronger bite.
The group pictured above devoured this roadkill Wallaby in just a few minutes.
It has recently been declared officially endangered, up to 90% of the population in some areas has being wiped out by Devil Facial Tumour Disease. |
